Piwakawaka Pursuit -  6 hour and 3 hour Adventure Race and a 90 min Rogaine

The Location is "somewhere near Dargaville"  the exact location will be revealed Early October

6 hr Race

Start time: 9.00 am; registration from 7.00 am 

Teams: 2-4 people

Open to: High School Aged Students - Yr 9 and up; adults

No support crew required

Disciplines :  Mountain Biking, Trekking/Running, Navigation, Mystery Activities

 Cost :  Students - under 18 yrs -  $30 each,   Adult   - $50 each

WHO members $5 off the individual entry fee

3 hr Race

Start time: 11.00 am; registration from 10.00 am 

Teams: 2-4 people

Open to: everyone. Children 12 yrs and under must be accompanied by an adult.

No support crew required

Disciplines :  Mountain Biking, Trekking/Running, Navigation, Mystery Activities

Cost 3 hr :   All ages :  $30 each

Compulsory Gear List - 6hr/3hr Race

Individual (must be carried by each person)

• Waterproof Jacket

• Polyprop/merino long sleeve top

• Beanie

• Gloves

• Food/water

• Personal medication

• Backpack to carry gear in

• Mountain bike in safe, working order - brakes must work, wheels safe, tyres in good condition.  NO E-bikes  allowed 

• Cycle helmet

Team

• Basic first aid kit: Minimum - triangular bandage, crepe bandage, strapping tape, antihistamine, gauze bandage, 6x plasters

• 1 x survival blanket.

• 1 x fully charged cell phone, in a waterproof bag.

• 1 x whistle

• Map bags

• Pens/highlighters

• 1 x repair kit   

• Spare bike tyre tubes

• 1 x bike  pump

 

90 min Rogaine

Start time: 10.00 am; registration from 9.00am 

Teams: 1-4 people

Open to: everyone. Children 10 yrs and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Cost 90 min Rogaine : All ages : $15 each

WHO members $5 off the individual entry fee

Suggested gear - Compass, whistle, highlighter, watch, cell phone. Clothing suitable for the weather eg Sunhat, sunblock, raincoat
